Roslyn\u00a0 is a\u00a0village\u00a0in\u00a0Nassau County,\u00a0New York, on the\u00a0North Shore\u00a0of\u00a0Long Island. Village population is 2,770. Initially Roslyn was settled in the year 1633.

Roslyn is a beautiful, historic village, nestled in the hills of Long Island\u2019s Gold Coast. It is situated on Hempstead Harbor, and at one time was an active mercantile port. Today\u00a0 Roslyn is\u00a0 known for \u00a0collection of beautifully restored houses and buildings, historic monuments and vibrant Downtown. Roslyn is \u00a0also home to the Bryant Library which hosts lectures, book signings and art exhibits and Gerry Park, a beautiful 16 acre green space in the middle of the Village where you can sleigh ride in the winter and enjoy outdoor concerts (sponsored by the Roslyn Chamber of Commerce) during the summer.<\/p>\n
Downtown is filled with many wonderful shops and restaurants. You can make a day of it strolling through Roslyn, enjoying its natural beauty, its historic structures and browsing its one of kind boutiques, taking a break to have a leisurely lunch at any one of our casual spots, or staying later and dining at one of the many excellent restaurants we have to offer. And you can always catch a movie at the Roslyn Movie Theatre.
