Kennebunk is a town in York County, Maine, United States. The population was 10,798 at the 2010 census (The population does not include Kennebunkport, a separate town). Kennebunk is home to several beaches, the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, the 1799 Kennebunk Inn, many historic shipbuilders' homes, the Brick Store Museum and the Nature Conservancy Blueberry Barrens (known locally as the Blueberry Plains), with 1,500 acres (6 km²) of nature trails and blueberry fields. The town is a popular summer tourist destination. Kennebunk contains fine examples of early architecture, the most noted of which is the Wedding Cake House, a Federal-style dwelling extensively decorated with scroll saw Gothic trim. This was added to the house for his wife of many years by George Washington Bourne late in his life, and not as legend has it by a ship captain for a young bride lost at sea. Local economy is tourism based. The headquarters for the natural health-care product manufacturer Tom's of Maine is located in Kennebunk. Daily duties: Front desk Associate; Responsibilities: • Register and assign rooms to guests • Confirm phone and online reservations • Respond to guest needs, requests, and complaints • Collect payment from departing guests • Keep records of occupied rooms and guests • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments Qualifications: • Previous experience in customer service, front desk service, or other related fields • Comfort with using computers. Prior experience with Opera or other Property Management System a plus! • Ability to build rapport with guests • Strong organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Kitchen Prep / Dishwasher; - Following direction of chef & sous chef of daily duties - Prepping food items to specification - Daily cleaning of kitchen areas & dishes pots & pans during service Food & Beverage Server; - Take & place food & drink orders for customers during breakfast, lunch and or dinner service - Set up banquet area with proper tables, chairs, linens, etc. - Excellent customer service skills
Accommodation: Housing is located on property within 200 feet of our main building. We offer single and double occupancy rooms, at a rate of $135 per week single and $100 per week double . All rooms are equipped with refrigerator, microwave & sink, bathrooms are shared with other occupants on floor, dormitory style. If employee opts to live off property.
Food: all employees receive 25% discount in F & B outlets. Three meals served per day for employees in employee area, breakfast is free, lunch & dinner $3 per meal for employees
