Texas

Texas is the second largest state in the United States by both area and population. Geographically located in the south central part of the country. The state has three cities with populations exceeding one million: Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas. Known for their generosity, hospitality, unusual accent, and penchant for the larger-than-life, Texans are wonderful people to meet. The state is very warm in the summer months, with temperatures often above 38ºC. In West Texas and the Panhandle, summers are usually dry with fits of stormy weather. El Paso, TX

El Paso is a city in and the seat of El Paso County, situated in the far western corner of the U.S. state of Texas. As of July 1, 2017, the population estimate for the city from the U.S. Census was 683,577. Its U.S. metropolitan area covers all of El Paso and Hudspeth counties in Texas. El Paso stands on the Rio Grande across the Mexico–United States border from Ciudad Juárez, the most populous city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. The city is the headquarters of Western Refining, a Fortune 500 company, and three publicly traded companies,as well as home to the Medical Center of the Americas, the only medical research and care provider complex in West Texas and Southern New Mexico, and the University of Texas at El Paso, the city's primary university. The city hosts the annual Sun Bowl college football post-season game, the second oldest bowl game in the country. El Paso has a strong federal and military presence. William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Biggs Army Airfield, and Fort Bliss call the city home. Fort Bliss is one of the largest military complexes of the United States Army and the largest training area in the United States.
