Tropic is a town in Garfield County, Utah, United States. Tropic, Utah sits at the base of Bryce Canyon National Park, a community, whose name reflects the beautiful fruit blossoms in the spring, green grass of summer, and the brilliant colors of fall. Tropic is the largest of three small ranching communities that make up the Bryce Valley area located just outside Bryce Canyon National Park.\u00a0 This little gem of a town is set amidst some of the most scenic southern Utah landscape imaginable: Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Dixie National Forest, Red Canyon, and of course Bryce Canyon, just to name a few.<\/p>\n

Kodachrome Basin State Park is just 20 minutes away from Tropic. Tropic is centrally located to scenic attractions such as Kodachrome Basin State Park, Grosvenor\u2019s Arch, Bull Valley Gorge, Powell Point, Tropic Reservoir, Pine Lake, Calf Creek Falls and Hole in the Rock. Coyote Gulch, Peekaboo, and Round Valley are just some of the nearby slot canyons waiting to be explored.\u00a0 Enjoy easy access to Bryce Canyon Country\u2019s world-class scenery and unlimited outdoor adventures\u2013hiking, canyoneering, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, wildlife viewing, photography and more\u2013all centrally located to Tropic.
