Woodbine je op\u0107ina u okrugu Cape May, New Jersey, Sjedinjene Ameri\u010dke Dr\u017eave.<\/p>\n

Ova mirna ruralna zajednica ima bogatu povijesnu pro\u0161lost i neko\u0107 je slu\u017eila kao u\u017eurbano industrijsko sredi\u0161te okruga.<\/p>\n

Bogato naslje\u0111e Woodbinea u New Jerseyju doista je jedinstveno. Zapo\u010det prije vi\u0161e od 100 godina, Woodbine je kupio bogati njema\u010dki filantrop, barun de Hirsch, koji je osnovao fond za pomo\u0107 imigrantskim ruskim \u017didovima koji su dolazili u Ameriku 1890-ih. Woodbine je bila eksperimentalna poljoprivredna industrijska kolonija koju su zamislili povjerenici Fonda Baron de Hirsch. Imigranti su mogli nastaviti poljoprivredni na\u010din \u017eivota koji im je bio uskra\u0107en u Rusiji. Ali zbog lo\u0161ih uvjeta tla, Woodbine je ubrzo postao poznatiji kao tvorni\u010dki grad, proizvodno sredi\u0161te okruga Cape May.
