The Town of Walden is a Statutory Town that is the county seat of, and the only incorporated municipality in, Jackson County, Colorado. Its population is around 600. Walden is a small town in a beautiful Park, or valley, totally surrounded by spectacular and fun-filled mountain ranges. North Park abounds in outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, mountain biking, hiking, boating, and snowmobiling. During the summer there is a lot of festivals. The North Park Never Summer Rodeo held each June is rich in Western and cowboy heritage, July is highlighted by North Park Day festivities and August is focused on the Sky's the Limit Hot Air Balloon Festival.
