Hawaii

Hawaii is the 50th and most recent state to have joined the United States of America. The state encompasses nearly the entire volcanic Hawaiian archipelago, which comprises hundreds of islands spread over 2,400 km. Its capital is Honolulu on the island of Oʻahu. Hawaii's climate is typical for the tropics, although temperatures and humidity tend to be less extreme because of near-constant trade winds from the east. The Hawaiian islands offer a vast number of activities. Hula dance lessons and Ukulele lessons are popular among tourists. Cultural activities such as the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu also make for interesting day-long activities. Sources: http://wikitravel.org/en/Hawaii https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaii

Honolulu

Honolulu is the vibrant epicenter of Hawaii. Here you’ll find everything from historic landmarks and treasured monuments to world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and culture scene. Home to the majority of Oahu’s population, the sprawling city of Honolulu spreads throughout the southeastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu Point, encompassing world famous Waikiki. For a taste of rural Hawaii, visit the North Shore. Here, you'll find the most brilliant blue waters and meandering hikes. But those three spots aren't all Oahu offers. Its high-class restaurants, vibrant cultural events, and wild nightlife further showcase this island as a "Gathering Place" of Hawaiian culture. Honolulu has it all.
