Cooke City-Silver Gate is a census-designated place in Park County, Montana, United States. The population was 140 at the 2000 census. It sits toward the northeast of Yellowstone National Park on a road remaining open during the winter connecting through Tower Junction to Mammoth and north to Livingston, Montana. Present day Cooke City, Montana boasts of approximately 100 hardy citizens who play host to the winter wonderland sports of snowmobiling, tour skiing and winter photography. The summer season welcomes the three hundred or so summer residents. Cooke City is bordered by Custer, Shoshone and Gallatin National Forests. The many streams and high country lakes are enjoyed by fisherman, campers and hikers. Bear, moose, elk and deer make their home in this pristine landscape. From Yellowstone National Park access, to Beartooth Highway, to Chief Joseph Scenic Highway, remote Montana vacation destination won't disappoint.

Daily duties: Smiling friendly faces to greet and assist our customers. Cleaning, stocking and arranging inventory. Fast paced environment with guest from all over the world to see one of the most popular parks in the world.
Additional information: Students can be trained to be shift closers and earn another $1 an hour while working in this capacity.
Accommodation: We will be supplying a 2 bedroom mobile home for the students 1 block from the store. each bedroom will either be for a couple, friends or two people of the same sex. The rent will be $50 week and each student will share a room. Large kitchen and bath. Utilities included in weekly rent. Quite time 11 pm to 8 am. $100 deposit will be taken from the second paycheck. $50 of deposit will be returned on departure if the apartment is left in clean and damage free. $50 is retained for wear and tear on bedding and kitchen utensils.
Food: We have a general store 1 block that you can buy limited but adequite groceries. There are 6 restuarants.

Attention: It looks like Bulgaria or Serbia our best option because we would like two students to arrive around May 15th and stay until at least September 1st and than two students to arrive sometime in June and staying till the end of September. Having two students till the end of September is important to us! Great English skills (8+), willing to live in a remote area.
Requirements: Must be able to stand a minimum of 8 hrs a shift. We can train you for the job if you have a friendly, helpful attitude. We have a casual dress code (jeans) but must be clean and personal hygiene are imperative. Great second job opportunities. Social life can be fun and rewarding (there are other J-1s in town) but it is not a party town. Come to have the experience and save some money. Natural beauty is incredible as well as the wildlife, even in town! students who arrive early have to be physically able to carry heavy boxes (up to 60lbs) up a flight of stairs. We have found that both sexes are capable of doing this but that the boys tend to enjoy doing this more.
