Glacier View is a census-designated place (CDP) in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, United States. It is part of the Anchorage, Alaska Metropolitan Statistical Area. At the 2010 census the population was 234, down from 249 in 2000. The terminus of Matanuska Glacier is located approximately three miles southwest of Glacier View. Glacier View first appeared on the 2000 U.S. Census as a census-designated place. Home to the picturesque Matanuska Glacier, Glacier View has many exciting activities to offer including Glacier Trekking, Ice Climbing, and River Rafting – to name a few!

Daily duties: We take pride in our establishment, and we are looking for cheerful, energetic individuals who take pride in their work. The largest portion of our business is in the cafe, which seats 24 people and serves breakfast, specialty burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups and hand tossed, brick oven pizza. Espresso, beer and wine are also served. We have a strong clientele of locals as well as tourists visiting our beautiful area of Alaska. In addition, three guest cottages and a full service RV Campground keep staff busy with the registering of guests from around the world, as well as offering their great smile and engaging in friendly conversation. This would be a great opportunity for anyone looking to spend a summer experiencing Alaska and to explore Alaska's Sheep Mountain/Matanuska Glacier Area. There is plenty of camping, biking and hiking nearby, as well as river rafting and glacier treks to occupy your time. Duties: Waitstaff greets guests, takes orders, cashier duties, duties of closing (cleaning). Short Order Cook: Prepping food, cooking, work in a fast pace, kitchen work, clean up, opening/closing duties, etc. Housekeeper: Cleaning of the 3 rental cabins and helping in the restaurant with food prep and dish washing.
Accommodation: Room and board cost is $250.00 per month.
