About the H-2B VISA

According to the US Immigration Law, there are several categories of visas intended for people who want to work temporarily in the US. The H-2B visa refers to the temporary or seasonal work of a person.

Requests for temporary workers are granted to companies that cannot fill their positions with local workers. This visa requires the approval of the US Department of Labor and is allowed to issue a total of 66,000 H-2B visas annually.

There is a possibility of expanding this number, depending on the lack of labor in the American market, which has been the case in the last few years.

Individuals/immigration attorneys may apply for an H-2B visa up to 90 days prior to the start of their employment, but may enter the US only 10 days before their approved employment begins (an immigration officer may deny entry to the US if want to use the visa before the mentioned 10 days).

Program participants apply for an H-2B visa to the US Consulate in their country of citizenship or residence. The request is submitted through our agency. Participants in the H-2B program go to the US Consulate for an interview in person.

Candidates who have been H-2B visa holders in the last 48 months (4 years) are given the opportunity to send their documents to the embassy via DHL courier service, without going to the embassy in person for an interview (visa appointment waivers). . The Embassy, of course, reserves the right to subsequently invite any of these candidates to an interview in person.

PROGRAM STEPS

  • The participant starts their application by completing the questionnaire that you can find HERE
  • Receives further instructions from the agency regarding the initial documentation to be submitted.
  • Applications start from May 13, 2022 and last until May 20, 2022;
  • The agency performs an initial screening of interested/registered candidates, and invites shortlisted participants to preliminary tests and presentations of the H-2B program. If you are not contacted by May 20, 2022 - you have not passed the first round of selection;
  • After the presentation, candidates submit documentation proving strong social and economic ties with the country of residence, i.e. documentation that confirms the fulfillment of the requirements for obtaining an H-2B visa. This documentation will be reviewed in detail by our team and candidates for the Job Fair will go to the next round;
  • If the participant is admitted to the program, he is guaranteed participation in the Job Fair, i.e. conversation with representatives of the Perfect Moving company.
  • The Job Fair consists of two parts / presentations of the company, job and program by the company representative and a direct interview between the participants and the company representative. In the event that it is not possible to physically organize a Job Fair due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will organize an ONLINE JOB FAIR through the ZOOM application;
  • If the candidate is selected to participate in the program after the discussion with the employer from the USA, he signs the Service Agreement with our agency.
  • Upon obtaining a job and upon approval of the H-2B petition, the participant is ready for an interview at the embassy;
  • He collects and completes the visa documents, pays the embassy fee of $190 and is scheduled for an interview with all the assistance of our agency.
  • He gets a visa and buys a plane ticket to the USA.
  • Arrival in the USA.

  • Former USA visas for review for those who have already been to America

Interview dates, visa procedures, and visa approval are the sole responsibility of the US Consulate.

The H-2B work program is a temporary work program that allows foreign nationals to legally work and reside in the US. The H-2B program aims to compensate American companies for the shortage of workers so that they can operate effectively without business interruption. The money earned helps cover the costs of staying in the US. If you stay on the program for longer than 4 months, you can secure a decent salary.

The H-2B visa allows the participant to work exclusively for the petitioning company sponsoring the visa. Any work for any other employer is illegal.
