Texas is the second largest state in the United States by both area and population. Geographically located in the south central part of the country. The state has three cities with populations exceeding one million: Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas. Known for their generosity, hospitality, unusual accent, and penchant for the larger-than-life, Texans are wonderful people to meet. The state is very warm in the summer months, with temperatures often above 38ºC. In West Texas and the Panhandle, summers are usually dry with fits of stormy weather. North and coastal areas have unstable climates.
